This one first caught my eye late in 2005 and it has taken until now to get it off the ground but from this weekend onwards you’ll be able to place pre-orders for the Optimus Keyboard. 200 keyboards are expected by the beginning of December this year with a further 200 by the end of the month with 400 going into production in January of next year.
Word has it that the keyboard itself is going for over US$1,500 so it might be a little out of reach just now. By a little I mean f’n loads.
Well that price tag sucks!
I love the idea but the cost is certainly prohibitive. I’ll put this one into my ‘Wait ’til the tecnology is so cheap you can get it in Tesco’ box.
Yeah its definitely got that about it. Wouldn’t mind only I’ve been looking forward to the release for the bones of 18 months or more but I’m sure not going to fork out 1500 bucks for it.
Now, if someone wanted to have the keyboard reviewed and wanted to donate a keyboard for the cause…. I’d be open to suggestions…
Ken, same! Since it was first mentioned i’ve been waiting for the release of this. But $1500 is way too high! Like what if i spill something on it! Heck my pc is only worth €700 in total! 😛
