Spreading My Wings

Booked myself on a flight for an hour or so over Kilkenny City & County yesterday. Should provide an amazing photo opportunity. Haven’t flown anywhere in almost ten years, and at that I was among hundreds of other people on a very comfortable Boeing.

This time around its gonna be me up in a small plane taking photos. Reckon we’ll be waiting for a picture-perfect day, most likely very early in the new year but no going back now!

You’ll be a passenger is it? Not a pilot?

Cheers lads! Yeah Rob, WELL looking forward to the pictures.

And Sean, yes, I’ll be the passenger, not the pilot. This is just a photo finding mission!

    You’ve flown…? Not a bit young…?

The best present I ever got (seriously) was a voucher for an introductory flying lesson at Cork airport. Translated that meant I got to hold the rudder for a few seconds but it was amazing. I fully intend to do proper flying lessons after I make my first million 🙂

Really that good? Thought it a bit daunting at first… but figured I’ve had enough friends jump out of planes and off bridges, along with a father who jumps of mountains with a paraglider on a regular basis that a flight can’t hurt. Starting to look forward to it now! Never know, could be a new plane instead of a new car in 2006! 😀
