Another blog? Ah Ken…

Another blog, another RSS feed but its serving a more short term (3 month) and local (Kilkenny) focus as I’ve just launched’s coverage of the 2006 Battle Of The Bands, fully aiming to make the best use of the web for the event (which I’m involved in from a judging perspective) which hits the web for the first time ever (in its 5 year history).

The event itself takes place over 5 heat stages August 6th to September 3rd followed by two semifinals and the grand final towards the end of September / early October.

If you’re in the Kilkenny area and you’re a music fan, do check it out! Runs every Sunday from Bank Holiday Sunday with around 20 bands involved.

On another note… itching to get the decorators out around here again. Creative Imagination has been feeling a little restricted in imagination lately designwise with the running of in its three column format…. Hmmmm….

Personally I hate 3 column blogs – I have tried that layout on two of mine at various stages and backed away from it both times. I really do not think it scans well as I find the 3 column approach cluttery.

And speaking of scanning the Battle of the Bands blog may well be fashionably dark and dismal for the target market. But it is unreadable without extreme effort.

Maybe to stop adults from glancing through its contents?!

Well its certainly aimed more at the bands that are involved in it (from a design point of view), of course email and rss updates are in lovely black and white and quite easy to read, for the more seasoned blogger 😉

Not sure how much the adults are going to want to see too 😉 Maybe sticking clips up on youtube won’t be such a good idea afterall!

Ah I will of course dude, no worries! Just thinking on porting the theme I have for Liverpool Access over here, allowing me to expand my blogging a little. Should let me make better use of ad space, wanted to bring in feeds from my other blogs as an aside, bring in some flickr stuff… brighten the ould place up!
