Breaking My iPod Cherry

So, I finally gave in. She comes dressed in black, silky smooth to the touch, bright and colourful character and as a great memory.

I also treated myself to a 60gb video iPod, in black.

Decided to pack in my Creative Zen Jukebox and move over to the dark side. Next stop is that Macbook Pro I’ve got my eye on. 🙂

Where did you buy it from?

Oh no! You have been applified! 😐

Haha, sounds like fun, enjoy your apple goodies!

Michele – Picked it up in Argos. Fairly disappointed that they haven’t dropped their price (or anywhere in Kilkenny for that matter) to match the price reduction on the Apple Store but what can you do. Woke up and said “today is the day” and nothing was going to change my mind! Been putting is off bloody long enough 🙂

Pavlos – most certainly will do. Got to spend some time now sorting out music for it but I’ve a feeling its about to become another extension of myself 🙂

    Ken

    I was wondering 🙂

I’ve been looking around a bit over the last few days at pricing, but none of the sites seem to be able to compete with Apple themselves

No, and its a pity too. US$399 is a great deal, and you can get it engraved as well for free which would be damn nice! Could really do with a price drop over this side of the water!

One you get one you will never go back 🙂

Hmmmm TV series eh…. can you suggest any decent software for converting for iPod video?

  8. Alan O'Rourke August 14, 2006 at 9:43 am

You might be able to obtain some already converted. If not i generally use quicktime pro.

Didn’t even think of Quicktime… there’s my apple lesson for the morning! Think there’s a copy lurking around the studio. I’ll have a gander around the web so… ah bless this little thing, hasn’t left my pocket since Saturday 🙂

You should download my “30 Minutes in Kilkenny” (28-min MP3) and let me know what you think.

I might just do that. I had seen your pics from the parade on Saturday, was likely about ten feet down from you for one of them, too many people walking about!
