Hello! Its The iPhone Oscar Ad

Had been hoping this one would turn up online… then it did. (edit: Pat’s also got it – the ad that is!)

Word at the weekend was once the iPhone hits the US it will likely be in the $300-$400 contract price bracket. I know that US contracts work a little different, many starting out in the minimum-24-months category but that price sounds the phone will be a little more affordable. Highly doubt that any Irish network will carry the phone which means you could end up forking out anywhere up to 700 quid for it when it reaches European shores, sim-free that is. Now might be a good time to start saving those pennies.

im asured that the iphone is going to come to ireland and they plan for the end of the year, which really means the start or mid of next year. The only network i could see carrying it would be vodafone, unlesss cingular manage to do a funky deal!

Ah man if Vodafone are the only network to carry the phone it will mean a change of operator for Ken 🙂

Though if it is a release for next year that gives me another 12 months on my K800i, though an iPhone in time for an upgrade at the end of the year would be nice 🙂

Well i think vodafone would be the only one to take, meteor and 3 arent really big enough to support such a change in infrastructure and 02 im not sure about. Can’t wait tho! Guna be so cool!

The ad isn’t exactly brilliant is it? I already know the features but it doesnt really show any of the features on that ad. Its pressuming alot that everyone knows what the features are.. :-/

I think you’ll see the ad isn’t about the features of the phone, those ads will follow. As a creative ad I think its great!

Hi. I’m from California, United States and I found your blog through Answers.com. I was wondering where you heard that the price of the iPhone might drop between the $300-$400 range in the U.S. If you have a link to an article you read I’d love to see it as this would make me much happier if it happens to be true. Thanks!
