Picked up a post from Kevin Lim’s blog earlier this morning who had been talking with Amanda Congdon, part of the group behind the daily video blog, RocketBoom. The interesting thing about it?
- Her video blog is now getting 300,000 hits a day
- Her video blog is now earning her €67,286.71 a week in advertising
Eh… hello? €67k? Thats US$85,000 – a week! Given Robert Scoble’s recent jump of ship, perhaps now is a good time to switch to video blogging!
Jesus christ, that’s some amount of money to be pulling in from a blog…
Let’s see… on a good day I might get 30 hits a day… if I could sustain that, doing the maths I could make a whopping €6.28 a week… it’s a start!
Looking at the site… where exactly is the advertising? I watched a video, nothing… no google ads… interesting
As an aside that girl is far too upbeat, I couldn’t maintain that… even for 67k a week (well, maybe)
Yeah, can you please shed some light on how it works? I’m clueless about
it but invetiably will have ads on my site. You have ads, is it worth it?
Its a little ridiculous when it comes to that amount of money and I’d be worried she’d be leading people astray. 300,000 hits a day is as good as any day time and some evening TV programs on RTE, but without showing a massive mix of ads, one would have to wonder.
Bob… as for the ads, its worth it if you’ve got the audience. Everything, as with a good pint of Bulmers – all in its own good time. 😉
